Art is born in attention. Its midwife is detail.” -Julia Cameron
“Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.”- Henri Cartier
My tools:
Canon EOS 30D- I made the step up in May of 2007.
Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT) 8.0 MP -I received it as a gift in January of 2006.
Lenses:
Canon EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens that came with the Rebel XT. It’s not the sharpest lens, but good enough for me, a complete novice. I’d never used an SLR before this.
EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. Currently my favorite lens. I’m a huge fan of macro shots and this one has a nice creamy bokeh for the price.
EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM A nice starter telephoto zoom lens. I received it as a gift Christmas 2006. Nice for capturing wildlife.
EF 50mm f/1.8 II Cheap and simple, but I’m looking forward to playing with it. A gift for my birthday in ‘07. Great for low-light situations.
